The usefulness and significance is overwhelming. Schaedler Insurance is a California insurance agency specializing in quality California errors and omissions insurance (professional liability insurance) products at an affordable price.
This site provides charts with trading indicators, data and gadgets supplemental to my main ChartLines (trading) site which contains more big-picture review, commentaries and analysis of markets and trading information. Also, my main site has more explanations about what's going on; plus, there's my No Bull No Bear No Bias site for trader & technical analysis education. This site focuses on direct, chart-based ideas. Some of my comments I place on Twitter/ChartLines (which feed at the main ChartLines blogspot).
(Remember - trading is your decision! these are just ideas, no "lifeguard on duty, you swim" (trade) at your own risk!)
You can customize the little "stock ticker" gadget below, e.g. click to add/remove symbols. Further down, a news section, click any of the topic headers to see those articles. *Update- I've added a "TV shows online" widget for bored daytraders!* If anyone feels compelled to contact me, use chartlines@yahoo.com (it's an email I've already got set up). Also there's a labels list to look for posts by topic, and lower, a gadget with a finance tip of the day. Enjoy!
Here's are other sites of interest that I've found helpful and like to reference for input. This order isn't necessarily to indicate priority, of course:
1. Watershed research on market forecasting from Chartsedge (including very neat "maps" for intraday), by Mike Korell: Weekly cycle charts at Chartsedge, and daily (intraday) charts posted periodically at Chartsedge Daily Market Maps. (For access to daily maps when posted overnight, you'll need the reasonably-priced ChartsEdge subscription.) The RSS feed for Chartsedge's daily (intraday) Market Maps charts and comments is below.
2. Andre Gratian's market analysis which he puts forward at SafeHaven.com, and his website is Market Turning Points.
3. Elliott Wave as presented by Anthony Caldaro at Elliott Wave Lives On (his charts are available from the charts links he provides there).
4. Cycles work by Tim Wood at his Cycles News & Views service with a very good track record and a remarkable amount of work, explanation and attention to detail (his cycles work spans time frames from very long term to intermediate and short term, also comments on Kondratieff waves and Dow Theory, and addressses equities markets, bonds, gold, currencies, commodities and more).
6. Financial astrology and sociological-economic commentary by Raymond Merriman at mmacycles.com, including free weekly comments at Merriman Market Analyst Weekly Comments.
7. PTV-Investing Blog - PTV refers to "Price-Time-Volume" where Andy Askey uses Gann angles and price/time overbought/oversold measures, plus volume to assessment market strength. Interesting ideas at AllAllan's blogspot. You might also like to keep up with Carl Futia's blogspot; and Carolan website with "solunar" calendar and more. Drop in at Charts and Coffee too, for a range of market charts.
8. Bill Luby's VIX and More blogspot. Also VIX, put/call (options) and sentiment commentary by Todd Salamone and others, including Bernie Schaeffer himself of course, at Schaeffer's Research site. Sentiment surveys by the ISE (the ISEE charts and data, accessible for equities/indices/ETFs), SentimenTrader, and the TickerSense sentiment poll at TickerSense.
9. Weekly COT (commitments of traders) reports - sadly, they only come out each Friday afternoon reporting on COT positions as of the preceding Tuesday, so always a bit dated: COT (Commitments of Traders). Now, there's also a very interesting COTS Timer blogspot posting weekly trade setups based on COT analysis, that I'm starting to like rather well. And let's try adding the Option Pain CBOE (Max-Pain) Calculator from OptionPain.com.
13. Charting you can do at Stockcharts (and if you're doing intra-day trading you should consider their subscription package that includes intraday real-time data) ... don't overlook their very good free "Chart School" including how to use indicators, at Stockcharts Chart School.
14. My main blogspot at Unbiased Trading(tm), which provides a range of charting, analysis and news whether you are position investing, swing trading, day trading, or just enjoy keeping up with financial analysis and the economic situation of the markets.
15. My other blogspot "Tao of Trading" with commentaries about psychology and similar aspects of trading, at Tao of Trading.
16. My newest blogspot, Christa's Fine Art Paintings, a gallery of artwork my mother painted through the decades.
17. My GrampsCare blog for those who, like me, are involved with taking care of their elderly parents or relatives (or friends) at home.
